Pickup starts before dawn because safe balloon conditions happen early.
Weather-first policy
Pilot call controls flying; unsafe wind or fog means refund or reschedule.

A hot air balloon Dubai flight is the slowest, quietest, most cinematic way to see the desert. You lift before sunrise, drift on the silent thermals, and watch the dune shadows redraw themselves under your basket as the sun climbs. It's the bucket-list flight every Dubai visitor talks about — and it's our most-photographed activity.
Searching hot air balloon Dubai, balloon ride Dubai, balloon adventures Dubai, or sunrise balloon Dubai? This page covers everything: our three flight tiers (Standard, Deluxe, Premium), pricing, the launch site, what's included, who can fly, weather rules, and how to book.
All flights launch from a permitted site near the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, ~50 minutes from central Dubai. Hotel pickup is included in city Dubai. We partner with the licensed balloon operator that holds the longest safety record in the region (zero-incident over 8,000 flights).
Three Flight Tiers: Standard, Deluxe, Premium
Standard Flight (AED 1,049 adult / AED 999 child)
A 60-minute flight in a shared basket with up to 16 other guests. Sunrise lift-off, breakfast at the camp on landing, photo certificates. Our most popular tier — the price-to-experience ratio is unbeatable. Children 7–11 ride at the discounted rate; under 7 cannot fly for safety reasons (basket walls are too tall for them to see over).
Deluxe Flight + Falcon Show (AED 1,149 adult / AED 1,049 child)
Same flight as Standard but adds a private falcon-handling experience after landing — a trained falcon flies to your gloved hand for a memorable photo. Premium breakfast spread (Arabic plus continental). 90 minutes total ground programme.
Premium Vintage Land Rover (AED 1,349 adult / AED 1,149 child)
Top-tier package. Vintage Land Rover transfer to launch (instead of standard SUV), private breakfast tent with sparkling beverage (non-alcoholic) toast, falcon experience, professional photo prints (5 included), and an extended camp visit with traditional dress photo opportunity. Total programme 4 hours from pickup to drop-off. Best for honeymoons, anniversaries, and first-time visitors who want the most of one morning.
Private Charter Flights (AED 8,000–12,500)
For up to 4 guests, a private balloon basket with dedicated pilot. Pricing AED 8,000 for 2, AED 10,500 for 4. Wedding proposals are our most common private booking — pilot will hold a special photo moment at peak altitude. Brand activations and corporate flights also bookable.
What to Expect on a Hot Air Balloon Flight Dubai
Pickup 4:30am from your hotel (yes, that early — sunrise is non-negotiable). Drive to the launch site through pre-dawn desert. Arrive at 5:30am, watch the crew inflate the balloons (10 minutes of flame and fabric, photogenic). Board the basket. Lift at first light, climbing slowly to 1,000–4,000 feet depending on wind.
In flight: silent except for occasional burner blasts. Drift slowly across the desert — you're moving at wind speed (typically 10–20 km/h). Below: dune patterns, wildlife (oryx, gazelle, occasional ostrich in the conservation reserve), morning mist, traditional camel caravans starting their day.
Landing 60 minutes after launch in a soft sandy area. Crew chases the balloon in 4WDs and meets you to deflate. Transfer to the camp for breakfast and ground programme. Drop-off back to hotel by 9:30–10am.
Who Can Fly: Age, Health, Weight Limits
Minimum age 7 years. Children under 7 cannot fly — basket walls are 1.2m and they cannot see over for safety. Maximum age: no fixed limit, but guests over 80 should consult their doctor and inform us of any heart conditions. Pregnant women cannot fly.
Weight: individual limit is 130kg per guest for safety. Combined basket weight matters more than individual. We weigh combined groups discreetly at check-in and may rebalance baskets.
Health conditions: severe back/spine issues, recent surgery, severe vertigo, and pacemakers should be discussed before booking. Mild fear of heights is fine — most guests overcome it within minutes of lift-off. Severe acrophobia is not — please choose a desert safari instead.
Weather Rules: When We Fly and When We Don't
Hot air balloons require very specific weather: wind below 15 km/h, no fog, no rain, no thunderstorm forecast. The pilot makes the call by 4am the morning of the flight. If we cannot fly, you receive: full refund OR free reschedule for any later date including the next morning.
Cancellations are 5–10% of all bookings during the season. October–March is the most reliable window. April and September can have higher cancellation rates due to seasonal winds. We recommend booking flights at the start of your trip rather than the last day so you have reschedule options.
What to Wear, What to Bring
Closed shoes (sand at landing). Light layers — pre-dawn desert is cool, in-basket is warm from burners, post-flight at the camp is fresh. Phone in zip pocket. Camera with full battery and memory card. Sunglasses for after sunrise. Skip: heels, hats with brims (they fly off in lift), heavy bags. We supply: hot drink at landing, breakfast, photo certificate.
